Wesley has been a life-long student of the recorder, playing since elementary school. In the 1990’s, he decided to study recorder seriously and sought out Jan Jackson. In addition to regular lessons, he attended numerous 'Texas Toot' week-long workshops, directed by Daniel Johnson of the Texas Early Music Project. The past 15 years he has busked in the lanes at Scarborough Renaissance Festival, Sherwood Forest Faire, and the Texas Renaissance Faire. He formed with Jan Jackson the ‘Worthy Waites of Whimsey’ ensemble in 2010.

With different combinations of individuals in her 40+ years of teaching and performing, Jan has directed ensembles for medieval and Renaissance fairs, as well as weddings and receptions, private parties, openings, company events, open houses, restaurants, church services and other special occasions. She has performed extensively with University of Texas Early Music Ensemble, and with the Texas Early Music Project. She is the founder and director of Worthy Waites of Whimsey.

Stephanie obtained a viola performance degree from UT Arlington. She has played in various professional symphonies including East Texas Symphony, Richardson Symphony, and Witchita Falls Symphony. She has performed with the Texas Early Music Project, Instanpitta, and Worthy Waites of Whimsey. With these early music ensembles, she plays ea
Stephanie obtained a viola performance degree from UT Arlington. She has played in various professional symphonies including East Texas Symphony, Richardson Symphony, and Witchita Falls Symphony. She has performed with the Texas Early Music Project, Instanpitta, and Worthy Waites of Whimsey. With these early music ensembles, she plays early forms of string instruments called rebec and vielle. She has also visited Ireland where she learned traditional Irish fiddle playing in pubs along the Galway coast.
